Chris Rock Wants Daughters To Stop Watching ‘The Kardashians’

It may not seem like it, but Chris Rock apparently has the same problems we all do. According to the comedian, his kids watch too much Keeping Up with the Kardashians. This is, of course, a very serious matter that can cause such distress for parents. According to Rock, he’s not escaping this fate either.

Speaking with Us Weekly, Rock said the kids are “watching reality TV now.” This is a shock, seeing as Rock has always kept his audience updated on his kids, but apparently they’re really growing up before our eyes. Rock’s daughters are no longer “little kids.” Lola is a pre-teen at 12-years-old and Zahra isn’t too far behind at 10-years-old.

While you might think they’re a little too young to be watching reality television, Rock’s girls are tuned in to a few shows.

“My kids are obsessed with ‘Dance Moms,’ and also the Kardashians.”

That said, it isn’t just Chris’ kids who are obsessed. His kids got him roped in with reality television too, and that for the comedian was the breaking point.

“I’m trying to stop them from doing too much of that. That’s what got me interested in reality.”

As for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Rock said he’s trying to ween his kids off the reality series program.

“I’m pushing them to watch less Kardashians. Well, reality TV in general is just pretty nuts, and watching what these people go through.”

Although he’s not thrilled about his family watching the Kardashians, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate the Kardashian clan. Just the other day, Rock told The Hollywood Reporter that he thinks matriarch Kris Jenner is a visionary.

“I like the mom. The mom’s the cutest one to me. The mom is hot. The thing about Kris [Jenner] is, we all thought she was crazy. But Kris, in her own way, is a visionary. I would have never thought there was a career in having a great a– and going to parties. But Kris saw the worth of what was there.”

As for Kim, Rock makes a pretty bold statement, and compares the socialite to Harrison Ford of all people.

“Kim Kardashian is a better celebrity than Harrison Ford. It’s not even close. I’m not saying she is as talented. But if they had a celebrity contest, she’d kick his a–.”

Rock is currently promoting his latest film Top Five, which he also directed and wrote. The film revolves around a comedian desperately trying to reinvent himself as a “serious actor” while battling with his reality star fiancee who’s trying to push him to air their upcoming wedding on her show. Sound familiar?
