Ellie Goulding is reportedly lending her voice to a track on the expanded version of Iggy Azalea’s debut album The New Classic.
If you’ve already purchased a copy of the aforementioned album, then you’re probably not too happy with the Australian rapper right now. Sometimes it doesn’t pay to give your support of an up-and-coming artist too soon. Since Azalea is a hot topic of conversation these days, her label decided to repackage the record with a few extra tracks. There’s nothing like a good double-dip to get the most out of a musician’s fanbase.
Instead of going it alone, the rapper is apparently getting some help from at least one noteworthy singers. According to Sugarscape, Ellie Goulding is helped out with one of the songs on the updated version of The New Classic. If you’re a fan of the singer and the rapper, then chances are you’ve already preordered your copy.
Here’s what Iggy had to say about the upcoming album.
“Shooting the album re pack cover art this week. Can’t wait for you guys to hear some new stuff. Six new tracks. Me and Ellie Goulding have a nice little numberrrr together on there too. FYI.”
Billboard explains that the revamped record will feature six new tracks from Azalea, including her collaboration with Ellie Goulding. In addition to the extra songs, the album will reportedly feature new artwork. Unfortunately, we’re still not sure when the release will hit retail shelves. As soon as we know something, we’ll pass the info along to you.
Of course, Goulding’s collaboration with the rapper isn’t the only reason she’s making headlines this month. The Inquisitr previously reported that Ellie’s name was recently mentioned in a love triangle that involved Ed Sheeran and One Direction singer Niall Horan. In fact, it’s widely believed that Sheeran’s “Don’t” is about Goulding.
When asked about her relationship with Horan, Ellie Goulding clammed up.
“Oh God, I knew this was coming! I just can’t talk about Niall. I won’t ever talk about my love life anymore because it’s always then gone wrong when I have in the past.”
Good luck getting any details from Niall Horan.
“So many lazy and sh*t rumours flying around! get a grip!”
Instead of worrying about who Ellie Goulding has hooked up with in the past, try to focus on her music. Keep your eyes peeled for the repacked edition of Iggy’s The New Classic, which will likely arrive before the end of the year.
