One of Kendall Jenner’s photos is causing controversy (shocker, right?).
Entertainment Tonight recently questioned the appropriateness of a DuJour magazine photo that shows Kendall Jenner enjoying a roll in the hay with a shirtless male model. She’s not wearing any pants, and the model is sniffing her neck like a redneck vampire (judging from the look on his face, he doesn’t like what he smells).
However, Kendall Jenner’s DuJour photo wouldn’t really be remarkable at all without the presence of her 17-year-old sister and a few men with cameras. Kylie Jenner and four older male models can be seen pointing cameras at Kendall and her lover, and Kylie has a look of complete awe on her face. The shot is very voyeuristic, and it almost looks like everyone involved is shooting a sex tape. However, Kylie Jenner is the only one using a phone capable of recording video. Entertainment Tonight criticized the photo by bringing up rapes being recorded on camera phones.
“Given the Jenner sisters’ ages, and recent reports on incidents of sexual assault being captured on phones and posted on social media, the timing is a little eyebrow-raising, no?”
The most disturbing thing about Kendall Jenner’s photo is that one of the male models holding a camera is dressed like a football player. This brings to mind the 2012 Steubenville rape case that involved the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl. Her rapists were high school football players who were photographed abusing her. According to WTRF, one of the convicted students, Ma’Lik Richmond, recently rejoined the roster of the Steubenville Big Red football team as a wide receiver. Maybe DuJour magazine photographer Bruce Weber was trying to be provocative by referencing the ugly incident that’s still making headlines.
As The Inquisitr previously reported, this isn’t the only controversial photo from Kendall Jenner’s DuJour shoot. The other photo in question features Kendall “touching herself” while an older male model kisses her on the neck. At least Kylie Jenner is nowhere to be seen in that steamy snap.
Kendall Jenner’s latest controversies don’t all involve photos — the reality show star also recently caused a stir by dropping her last name. However, it seems as though the moniker change is just a temporary modeling thing. On Thursday, Kendall hit up New York’s Lavo nightclub to celebrate her DuJour magazine spread. While there, she talked to Style about the press making a huge deal out of her decision to distance herself from her mom and dad’s famous last name.
“I can’t believe it’s actually becoming a story. I did it last season as well. I’m not sure why it’s just becoming a thing. It’s not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be.”

Kendall Jenner also denied that she’s dating any guys on the long list of men that the tabloids have attached her to, and The Huffington Post reports that she addressed her VMAs texting controversy. Kendall caused a media firestorm when she was caught on camera texting during the moment of silence for Michael Brown at the MTV Video Music Awards. However, she doesn’t remember looking at her phone.
“I just specifically remember not texting and bowing my head down for the moment of silence and that’s all I have to say about that.”
Maybe she wasn’t texting, but was simply checking her text messages.
What do you think of all these Kendall Jenner controversies? Are they truly scandalous, or are they yawn-worthy non-stories?
