Victoria Gotti made a guest appearance this week and revealed that Rino, Teresa Aprea’s husband, had slept with Teresa’s own mother.
Of course, Aprea and her husband Rino got married, separated, got divorced, and then got remarried. During the first couple of episodes, Teresa was very open about why they separated and got back together. But it isn’t surprising that the women are assuming the worst, including an affair. During their conversation with Gotti, Teresa Giudice and Amber Marchese were not expecting the rumor to be about Aprea’s mother.
According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, the rumor regarding Teresa Aprea’s husband may have caused a jump in ratings, as people were eager to tune to watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey this week.
Last week, about 1.7 million viewers tuned into the show, but this past week, 1.84 million viewers decided to tune in and see what Gotti was talking about. The ratings may not be the same as they were last season — they were closer to 2.5 million — but the numbers prove one thing: Scandals and cheating rumors will make viewers curious.
The episode didn’t force Teresa Aprea to address the cheating rumors, as she had no idea that the women had discussed it. According to The Inquisitr , many viewers have assumed the rumor is false and that Gotti was just saying this to get back on television. She enjoyed filming Celebrity Apprentice but hasn’t been a part of The Real Housewives of New Jersey until now.
According to a new Radar Online report that was released this morning, a source has revealed that the affair did happen, and more than once.
“It’s true [and it happened] more than once!” reveals the source, even though Teresa Aprea, Nicole, and their mother Santa feel that the rumor is unnecessary, hurtful, and false.
The sisters have since addressed Victoria’s story in their official Bravo blogs. However, the sisters are not thrilled about the story and they feel that Gotti crossed the line in going after their mother.
The ratings are very low this season compared to the previous ones. Teresa Aprea and her family may not be of any interest for viewers, as people tend latch on to the original housewives, including Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo.
