You’ve Got To See This Tipsy Wedding Singer [Video]

It does not take much to become an instant Internet celebrity these days and one Welsh woman is finding that out first hand.

According to a story on Yahoo! News, Sarah Lane is likely to be known as the “Tipsy Wedding Singer” following an Instagram video actress Michelle Rodridguez posted from a recent wedding where Lane was the maid of honor.

“The 26-year-old council worker from Bridgend, Wales, in the United Kingdom, was the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding Saturday. Actress Michelle Rodriguez from ‘Avatar’ and ‘Fast & Furious’ movie series, also a friend of the bride, was in attendance.

“Michelle took a video of Sarah, dressed in a beaded bridesmaid dress and a flower crown, performing the 4 Non Blonde’s hit ‘What’s Up’ at the wedding reception. She then posted it to her Instagram — which has about 800,000 followers — and wrote, ‘I love life people are resilient to life love and the endurance of it all’.”

From there, video of the tipsy wedding singer has spread like wildfire across the Internet.

The Daily Record spoke with tipsy wedding singer, and Lane said she has been taken aback by the publicity and is “mortified.”

“Maid of honour Sarah, who was overwhelmed, said: ‘I had no idea. We went for brunch on the Sunday and someone said: “You’re on Instagram”. I said: “I know I’m on Instagram” as I’ve got an account and they said: “No, you’re actually on Instagram – Michelle put a clip up of you”.’

“She said she hadn’t yet spoken to the Avatar star about it but: ‘When I do speak to her she’s got a lot to answer for!

“‘She was lovely, she’s a good friend of the bride’s.

“‘I was summoned to the stage quite late in the night after a few bottles of wine. I’m mortified, I just wish it wasn’t that clip.'”

There’s no word yet on whether the two have been able to connect, but if the comments on Rodriguez’s Instagram is any indication, Lane may not have a lot to be disappointed about. Apparently, a lot of people have loved the tipsy wedding singer.

But if Lane is looking to make a career out of wedding singing, she may have a bit of competition from Elton John.
