Joe Jonas, Blanda Split: Eggenschwiler And Former Disney Star ‘Mutually Decided To Part Ways’
Joe Jonas and Blanda Eggenschwiler have split after nearly two years together. The two started dating in November 2012, and the former Disney star’s rep says that the break-up was amicable.
Us Weekly shares that Joe Jonas and Blanda Eggenschwiler have “mutually decided to part ways.” The rep’s statement is fairly typical in terms of these kinds of announcements, saying that the two remain friends and respect one another.
Joe and Blanda met through a mutual friend, and they had been virtually inseparable since they started dating. They had their ups and down, though, and it seems they were last photographed together June 19 at a party in Hollywood. People there at the time reportedly sensed some tension between them, however. A source said that Jonas posed for photos by himself and “then stormed inside.”
Despite recent tensions, they also were said to have had a great trip to Hawaii together this past January, where they joined Joe’s brother Nick Jonas and his girlfriend Olivia Culpo. In May they were still seemingly happy together. Granted, Joe and Blanda have had their fair share of blind gossip items floating around about them too, so some are interested to see if the Joe Jonas and Blanda Eggenschwiler split brings any dirty laundry to the surface.
As Jonas fans know, Blanda is the latest in a long string of romantic interests for Joe. The musician and former Disney star has previously dated high-profile celebrities including Taylor Swift, Ashley Greene, Demi Lovato, and Camilla Belle. Though the Jonas brothers wore purity rings in their early days on the celebrity scene, Joe talked pretty openly not that long ago about losing his virginity at the age of 20.
According to E! Online, Joe and Blanda got confirmation regarding the split from Eggenschwiler’s rep, who said it was indeed a mutual split. It seems, “They both wanted to do new things,” and “Joe wants to be single right now.” Jonas has recently shared that he is working on a cooking show with some friends, and he has plenty of other ideas about what to do to occupy his time going forward now that he’s single.
