Justin Bieber Vs. Orlando Bloom: It’s Attempted Assault, So Who’s To Blame?

Orlando Bloom throws a deflected punch at Justin Bieber in Ibiza. Bieber then posted Instagram photos of the actor’s separated model wife Miranda Kerr and later the Brit actor. Kerr previously denied having an affair with Bieber. So who started the fight — and why?

Just once, when Justin Bieber steps into a hot mess, it would be good to know there’s one version of the truth that can clean it all off again.

But, as is now almost always the case with the 20-year-old’s kismet, superhero ability, chaos follows wherever he goes.

After a ceasefire over the weekend when mostly everyone gave Bieber plaudits for gifting his Young Hollywood Awards Champ of Charity gong to a Make-A-Wish child with cancer, news that the actor Orlando Bloom attempted to punch the Canadian singer in a heaving Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza, Spain early Wednesday was greeted with audible joy by the news cycle.

And who can blame it? The story’s a motherload. It’s got everything. A supermodel, a Lord of the Rings star — and Justin Bieber.

The ever impulsive one took to Instagram shortly after he was confronted by Bloom to post a photo of the actor’s separated but not yet divorced supermodel wife Miranda Kerr wearing a bikini – then deleted it.

He then posted and deleted again, although most media outlets didn’t catch the first post.

That provocative move has breathed new life into old rumors that Bieber and Kerr had a fling after they met back in November 2012 at a Victoria’s Secret Show, where she modeled and he performed. A year later a tabloid report claimed the singer was one of the causes of the tension in the Kerr-Bloom marriage.

Kerr denied the claims and even got her lawyer to send out a letter calling such claims “false and defamatory.”

Which makes Orlando Bloom the biggest defamer in all Christendom. His attempted assault of Bieber – which was caught on film – broadcasts his belief that the singer has something to with why he and Kerr announced their decision to split in October 2013, after three years of marriage and six years together.

Of the fight night, eyewitnesses and reports conflict. So far, two videos are available online. One, shows Bloom’s almost-punch or shove inside Cipriani, while TMZ’s reveals an outside view after the incident.

In the “punch” video, Bieber and his crew are seen walking to a central table in Cipriani, just as Bloom makes a bee-line to the singer. Once he gets close, the actor reached out his arm to strike Justin but is forcefully deflected by a Bieber bodyguard.

A Norwegian media video of the incident seems to show Bieber’s surprise at seeing Bloom. It’s likely the singer’s two-year probation term, given after pleading no contest in a vandalism case will have hampered a natural desire to react back.

Any violation could land the performer in jail.

“Justin was at one table, and Orlando was at another,” one witness reportedly told Page Six.

“But when Bieber and his party were later walking past Bloom’s table, Orlando refused to shake Bieber’s hand. Bieber said something rude to Orlando, like, ‘She was good.'”

That version of events is categorically denied by a Bieber source who told the same outlet:

Justin didn’t even know Orlando was there. But when they saw each other, it was Orlando who was just being an a-hole to Justin. They got in each other’s faces and there were words. But they were separated by their entourages.”

A second source tells E! News: “Justin was being cordial to the guy but then Orlando took a swing and missed. That’s when Justin mouthed off to him — but only after Orlando took the swing.”

Likwise, Mail Online’s insider recalls: “Justin was being cordial, and everything was fine. But then Orlando was annoyed when he saw it was Justin and instigated by taking a swing at Justin.”

Back to Page Six, an insider claims: “When they were back together again, Orlando threw a punch at Bieber. He just tried to pop him! The whole place cheered.”

But a Bieber source downplayed Bloom’s intercepted shove/punch: “There was no contact. He missed. Then there was some ‘tough-guy shoving’ and they were separated.”

TMZ claims a source said Bieber “fled the scene,” but Mail Online cites a source as saying:

“Justin ducked, and Orlando’s punch missed. People intervened, some minor pushing, then they were separated. Justin stayed for a while after.”

TMZ also claims a source said Justin extended his hand to Orlando, who refused it. When Justin allegedly then asked what his “problem was,” the actor allegedly mentioned Miranda. Justin allegedly then tried to walk away and that’s when Bloom swung.

That scenario isn’t seen on the video. The gossip site also claims another witness said Justin provoked Bloom by boasting about having sex with Miranda, but there’s no way to know if it’s a genuine recollection or tabloid invention.

Readers will have decide for themselves whether these recollections of alleged dialogue are credible, when video doesn’t support the “refused handshake” story and sources contradict each other.

Clearly, the only definitive accounts can come from Bloom and Bieber. Since the eyewitness versions of the clash, Bieber posted an Instagram photo of Bloom “crying,” while Kerr posted a cute snap of herself with her and Orlando’s three-year-old son, Flynn, and a topless photo.

In addition, sources close to Justin’s former girlfriend Selena reportedly very recently told TMZ the actress-singer confirmed they were seen in March because they were both guest speakers at a We Day conference in Oakland, California, and are just friends.

The sources also told the site, photos that surfaced of Selena and Orlando in Los Angeles at a Chelsea Handler show back in April reportedly showed them on a smoking break and each was apparently there with respective pals.

That same month, Kerr made a public statement after her separation from Bloom suggesting she was bisexual, claiming she “appreciates both men and women. I love the female body and truly appreciate the female form.”

At the time, Kerr added: “I want to explore. Never say never.”

It’s probable Bloom and Kerr’s marriage had issues that went far deeper than an alleged and denied fling between — in 2012 — what would have have been an experienced, 29-year-old, married mother-of-one and an 18-year-old boy?
