Jason Bateman, Amanda Anka Expecting Another Daughter

Veteran actor Jason Bateman is having quite the year.

In addition to the multiple box office hits (Horrible Bosses and The Change-Up), the 42-year-old Arrested Development star has another reason to count his blessings – he and his wife Amanda Anka are expecting their second child.

News of the pregnancy was revealed by Amanda’s father, singer Paul Anka, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada on Wednesday.

“I’m going to be a grandfather again,” Mr. Anka proudly announced, adding that the forthcoming child would be another girl.

Paul then went on to praise his son-in-law, saying: “He’s… a very smart boy, a wonderful guy for my daughter.”

Jason and Amanda – happily married since July 2001 – already have a 4-year-old daughter together, Francesa Nora, who was born in October 2006.

Amanda, who Bateman has previously described as his “best friend” and admitted that he only wants to marry once in his life, has also spent her fair share of time in front of the TV camera with appearences in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Diagnosis Murder.”
