‘Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call’ Legacy Of Music Contest Announced By Square-Enix

The upcoming Theathythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call for the Nintendo 3DS is hosting a Legacy of Music contest for fans of the Final Fantasy series. The musical competition will allow gamers to showcase their own musical talent and win a a bevy of Final Fantasy loot as well as a trip for two.

Announced by Square-Enix as part of the Legacy of Music Campaign for the upcoming Theathythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call release, the special contest will give fans of the series the chance to be judged by the man who set the tone for the Final Fantasy series, composer Nobuo Uematsu. Contestants only need to create and upload a video of themselves performing the main theme to Final Fantasy. All submitted videos must be around one minute and thirty seconds in length. Participants will also need to include a sign stating their favorite game in the series.

The entries to the Legacy of Music Contest will be judged by veteran composer Nobuo Uematsu who has 16 credits in the Final Fantasy series as a composer which does not take into account the various compilations, live concerts, symphony arrangements or Black Mages albums. The winner of the prize will receive a plethora of goodies:

  • Complimentary trip for two to attend an upcoming DISTANT WORLDS®: FINAL FANTASY concert
  • All of the official soundtracks for the numbered FINAL FANTASY titles
  • Signed Collector’s Edition of the game
  • Signed THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY CURTAIN CALL Limited Edition Japanese Nintendo 3DS™ system

Runners-up will be eligible for other prizes including soundtracks from various Final Fantasy titles, signed collector’s editions of Theathythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call amongst other prizes that are sure to tempt any die hard Final Fantasy collector.

Theathythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is an exclusive title to the Nintendo 3DS and has a release date of Tuesday, September 16th for $39.99. The game is developed by indieszero and published by Square-Enix. Final Fantasy as a series has sold over 110 million units since its inception on the Famicom in 1987.
