Behati Prisloo: How The New Mrs. Adam Levine Keeps Her Fabulous Body In Shape
Behati Prisloo is the envy of millions of women, and not only for the fact that she married Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine this past weekend, but for that amazing body. In a 2012 interview, the Namibian beauty revealed her secrets for staying in incredible shape.
To be a Victoria Secret model, a woman needs to be the epitome of physical fitness, and Behati Prisloo is the prime example. Not only beauty, but tight legs and abs are a top requirement to be one of the few select supermodels for the underwear giant.
So how does Behati Prisloo stay fit? In an interview with Vogue UK, the 25-year-old reveled how she keeps her enviable body in shape. Her routine includes not only going to the gym and eating right, but a variety of sports:
“I try to do Pilates when I can all year around and I also like to swim a lot. I also have a trainer that kicks my butt when it’s needed.
“The beach is definitely where I feel most at home. It’s my oxygen. I forget how much I need it sometimes when I’m away working. I am a mermaid after all.
“I’ll paddle board, swim in the ocean, roll in the sand, soak up the sun, eat good food, be with friends and family and go fishing with my dad.”
Adding to the list of physical activities, Behati Prinsloo said that it’s all about eating healthy, staying active, and drinking lots and lots of water. Of course, the genes also helped her land the dream job of being one of Victoria’s Secret angels, who grace runways all over the world and appear in countless magazines.
“Becoming an Angel was a huge one for me because I just never thought I would be able to do that next to some of the world’s most beautiful women. I always felt like too much of a tomboy.”
Behati began dating 35-year-old Adam Levine in April of 2012, after he broke things off with one of her friends and colleagues at Victoria Secret, Anne Vyalitsyna. To the surprise of many, The Voice coach and Prisloo announced their engagement in July of 2013.
Things between the couple moved rather rapidly, and they made they made their relationship public after they were caught kissing while visiting Hawaii in 2012, only two months after Adam ended his relationship with Anne V. At the time, an insider told Us Magazine that Behati Prisloo had always had a crush on Levine and was envious of Anne.
Now Mrs. Adam Levine has her man all to herself and he seems very much in love with her. The pair were wed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in a star-studded affair on Saturday and are undoubtedly enjoying their honeymoon at this time.
