Here’s A Look At Marilyn Manson’s Recurring Role On ‘Sons Of Anarchy’

Marilyn Manson will be trading in his black pants and prosthetic body suits for an orange jumpsuit in his new recurring role on the hit TV show Sons of Anarchy. The partnership was announced earlier in the year after Manson already began filming with the crew that is comprised of Charlie Hunnam as Jackson “Jax” Taylor, Katey Sagal as Gemma Teller Morrow, Mark Boone Junior as Robert Munson, and Tommy Flanagan as Filip “Chibs” Telford.

Entertainment Weekly reports that FX has released additional information about Manson’s character as well as the Season 7 premiere. The premiere will be an hour and 45 minutes long and will pick up just ten days after the Season 6 finale. Jax is behind bars when he meets Manson’s character, Ron Tully, a white supremacist who has extensive influence, from which Jax intends on capitalizing.

On his role in Sons of Anarchy, New York Daily News reports that Manson released the following statement:

“‘Sons’ has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of ‘SOA’ is about that relationship. So now, all I need is a motorcycle.”

Earlier in the month, Manson tweeted the following picture of him on a motorcycle with the caption “The original Man Son of Anarchy.”

If his over-the-top stage shows are no indication of his acting ability, Manson has had quite an extensive acting resume, many of which are cameos. This includes roles in major films such as Wrong Cops, Rise: Blood Hunter, and Jawbreaker. He has also licensed his music to dozens of TV shows ans major films. He has never had a major role, that is, until now.

Manson is not the only musician slated to join the cast for the final season of the show. Reportedly, Courtney Love will play the role of a preschool teacher to Jax’s son during Season 7 of SOA.

The extended premiere of the seventh and final season of Sons of Anarchy will be September 9 on FX. Will you be watching?
