Keke Palmer Continues To Defend Her Interview With Chris Brown’s Girlfriend [Update]

If you’ve been following Chris Brown’s love life then you know for the past six years he’s been ping ponging back and forth between R&B singer Rihanna and model Karrueche Tran. Now Tran has decided to open up in an interview with Keke Palmer on BET.

Unfortunately Tran’s interview has angered Rihanna fans as suspected. Additionally Team Breezy is also taking aim at Keke Palmer accusing her of motives for even letting Tran speak her peace. As Rihanna’s fandom is just as powerful as Chris Brown’s it only takes a little talk to start a social media war.

While speaking to Keke Palmer Tran confronted having to deal with bad blood on Twitter from Rihanna and her fans. Speaking of the stress that comes with dating Chris Brown, in the BET clip Karrueche said:

“I’ve never dated a celebrity before, so it was very new to me. Paparazzi and all that.”

This apparently didn’t anger the Rihanna fans, but what came next certainly gave them a new springboard on Twitter. Tran continued to give her perspective on what it’s like to date someone who has such turmoil with another celebrity.

“Then, even the situation with Rihanna, you know the reason why people tuned into this so much was because it’s relatable. I have girlfriends, I have family who’s gone through the same situation. It’s the case of the ex. We all go through it, do you know what I’m saying?”

As the model started to tear up during the segment on “Just Keke” Palmer gave Tran a hug as she discussed the heartache.

Possibly adding fuel to the fire, since the interview made circulation Rihanna has been retweeting and sending out tweets like crazy to her fans.

A few days ago Keke responded via social media to Rihanna’s fans: One fan replied to her Instagram post and said that there’s no stopping Rihanna’s fans from coming forward in her defense.

“The #RihannaNavy will attack anyone for not worshipping her, she’s not your Lord and savior its sad her fans worship her and she gives them nothing but music she doesn’t even write. I feel so sorry for anyone who sits behind a computer all day to attack people it shows how sad you really are with your life and your ” idol” rihanna isn’t helping with that. Bashing KeKe for having a guest on her show is so pointless, you’re still going to watch the episode and then bash it again afterwards smh social media can be so poisonous I really hope God has mercy on all of you.”

This war goes back to 2013 when Brown got back with Rihanna and reportedly broke Tran’s heart in the process.

In an interview with Huffington Post, Keke spoke out against the slams and controversy this clip caused throughout the week.

Of the interview that has caused such a stir, Palmer said that she just wanted to give her generation what they were asking for.

Sticking to the defense that she only wanted to open the door on an issue in pop culture, she said:

“I feel like this was a specific thing that a lot of people were curious about. They were curious to hear what Karrueche had to say.”

There are always three sides to a story and according to Palmer, Tran didn’t have much of an outlet because she’s not a celebrity by trade.

“You kinda know how Rihanna feels ’cause she kinda tweets here and there. You kinda know how Chris Brown feels, ’cause he’ll just tell you — he’ll put a video to it! — but Karrueche has never spoken out, and so I was really glad she trusted us at ‘Just Keke’ to kinda give us the word on how she feels.”

As we previously reported for a bit it looked like Brown broke up with Tran again sometime after the fourth of July, but if going by these two interviews it looks like the two are still trying to make their relationship work despite the mounting pressure.
