Kimberly Stewart and Benicio del Toro are celebrating after the model-actress gave birth to her first child Sunday in a Los Angeles hospital.
The baby, who has yet to be named, weighed in at a healthy 8 pounds 9 oz and is 22 inches long, according to reports.
Kimberly, the 32-year-old daughter of rocker Rod Stewart who first announced her pregnancy back in April, reportedly conceived during a previous romantic fling with Del Toro, but the two are no longer together.
‘Benicio is the father and very supportive,’ the Del Toro’s spokesperson told US Weekly magazine, adding ‘Although [he and Kimberly] are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby.’
Rod Stewart, his current wife Penny Lancaster, and Anna Collins – who is Kimberly’s mother and Rod’s first wife – were all reported to be present at the hospital during the baby’s delivery.
The new baby girl is the first grandchild for the 66-year-old British singer who recently told reporters he was looking forward to becoming a grandparent, saying:
‘It’s going to be good.’
