WWE News: Wrestling Legend Sting Talks Desire To Face Undertaker At WrestleMania 31

Sting is the talk of the wrestling world as of yesterday’s big news and the aura he created with his “7.14.14” tweet. His debut with the WWE didn’t go exactly as the WWE Universe planned, as last night Sting was teased as a playable character (pre-order only) on WWE 2K15. It was confirmed yesterday that Sting was going to be a part of Monday Night Raw in some form or fashion.

To add to the news regarding the latest wrestling legend’s status, he recently completed an interview with the Daily Mirror in the United Kingdom about his desire to wrestle the Undertaker at WrestleMania 31. The whole purpose behind the interview was to promote WWE 2K15, because he will be the most sought out playable character the gaming franchise has arguably had. You can read the full interview here

I didn’t want to hang it all up and retire and disappear again without having done that in some capacity. I’ve made it clear I’d love to have one last hurrah, one last big match, hopefully. And of course, I’ve been outspoken about Undertaker being the opponent.

Steve Borden’s famous move to not go to WWE will forever be documented as the one man not to retreat to the WWE after the Monday Night Wars concluded.

The video game will feature two versions of Sting. It will entail his half-mask/early WCW character, and also the late-WCW Sting with the entire face painted the white with black streaks down the sides. As a fan, it will be awesome to finally have Sting in the WWE. Now, there is good news that goes along with Sting being in the WWE video game.

Cageside Seats is reporting that WWEShop.com is already starting to sell Sting t-shirts, making his contract with the WWE official. While many fans still remain skeptical that a deal has not been reached, it is now official. Sting is finally a member of the WWE roster, most likely under a legends deal.

For many years, Sting and the Undertaker has been a dream matchup for WWE fans. Much like Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. CM Punk or Shawn Michaels vs. Daniel Bryan, this match has the potential to actually come true for the fantasy-minded. What Vince McMahon and Triple H have done can only be seen as a brilliant move.

Three years in a row, WWE was always close to a deal with the Stinger, but money always fell through the table. Something changed Borden’s mind that wasn’t there previously. Whatever the case may be, the WWE Universe can now celebrate with Sting and utilize the famous “Stinger Splash” and “Scorpion DeathLock” on WWE 2K15.
