Mahomies got a big treat on social media. Sunday, Austin Mahone released Say My Name, an unreleased song from his upcoming album, which has many wondering if he will perform it on tour beginning later this month, this according to a Fanlala celebrity news report.
Mahone, 18, always with an eye for keeping his fans in the loop, gave his followers on Twitter a little bit of Christmas in July. With this post, he sent the internet into frenzy with a love song.
At the start, Austin’s new song has some pretty cool elements that, together, make for a head-bobbing new joint: the flow of Prince’s Purple Rain in the beginning, a beat reminiscent of something out of the Maybach Music catalog (big ups, Ricky Rozay), and Justin Bieber-esque vocals. The unreleased single is sure to have the ladies saying, “Mmm Yea.”

Take a listen and judge for yourself:
Austin Mahone hit the music scene in 2011, two years after Justin tore up the Billboard charts with his debut EP, My World, in 2009. Many point to similarities between the two artists, who are only two birthdays apart in age.
In a previous interview, Austin credited Justin Bieber for launching his career, according to Disney Dreaming.
Since we both started on YouTube, our career paths are pretty similar. I think he’s helped me because he showed the music industry that kids can really be important in the industry. He showed everyone that.”
Austin, who hails from San Antonio, Texas, is hard at work rehearsing for his upcoming summer tour. And as a nod to his hometown, his first show is set to begin in the Alamo town on July 25. According to his camp, he has stops planned in several major hubs across the country: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New Jersey, Boston, Atlanta, Michigan, and more. Check out his official website for more information on tour dates.
Make no mistake, the singer-songwriter is brilliant on the mic and — like his musical idol, he’s morphed into a fan favorite. As Inquisitr previously reported, the talented performer received three Teen Choice Awards: Choice Smile, Choice Male Hottie, and Choice Male Artist.
He’s up against touch competition in all categories: Pharrell Williams, Pitbull, Jason Derulo, Justin Timberlake, One Direction, Zac Efron (good luck with that), and many more.
But with Austin Mahone’s new song, Say My Name, getting boatloads of love from his fans at present, one thing is certain: he’s not a one-hit wonder.
