Pretty Little Liars’ Ashley Benson Goes Topless In Maui
Pretty Little Liars‘ Ashley Benson is making news not only for her new edgy look on this season of the ABC Family‘s hit show, but also for her more daring attitude. What’s the big scandal surrounding the star? Photos have leaked of her topless while sunbathing on a beach in Maui!
Ashley Benson, most known for her role as Hanna Marin on the hit show, Pretty Little Liars, decided that tan lines weren’t her thing apparently as she stripped down to just her bikini bottoms while sunbathing with fellow Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell last week while spending some time off-set in Maui, Hawaii.
According to Hollywood Life, Benson and Mitchell were joined by some close friends for some fun in the sun on a beach in Maui on July 1 to blow off some steam. A typical day at the beach includes some sand selfies, some swimming, and of course catching some rays!
Is it really that big of a deal that Benson decided to take her top off while sunbathing? Countless women ranging in age go topless while catching some rays. For some, those pesky tan lines are simply a no-go after all. As a celebrity and a role model for teen girls, it’s a bit of a different story, especially when you’ve publicly said that being naked is “unnecessary.”
According to Fox News, during an interview with Cosmopolitan earlier this year, the Pretty Little Liars star made it clear that she believes that women getting naked in movies is unnecessary, and even went on to say that she didn’t understand why anyone would get naked in public.
“I remember we were filming ‘Spring Breakers’ with this girl who was topless, and I tried to have a serious conversation with her. Why would you want to go topless for a film that you may not even be paid for?”
In an interview with Complex Magazine, Benson even says that she doesn’t like getting crazy and going out all the time.
“A typical weekend for me is going to eat with my friends and either having a drink at the restaurant or sitting at home and drinking wine and watching a movie. I don’t like clubs at all. The things you see people doing in there make you think, ‘Oh God, I don’t want to be around this.'”
Getting naked in a movie is one thing, and being nude on a beach in public is another it would seem, because from the photos that have been leaked of Benson, she seems perfectly okay with being topless in public.
