Lana Del Rey might have a lot going for her these days, but insiders believe the acclaimed singer is going through a “dark period” in her life.
The songstress recently released Ultraviolence , the long-awaited follow-up to her 2012 record Born to Die . Del Rey supported the album with a string of sold-out shows, which proved once and for all that she has a very loyal and dedicated following. Things are definitely looking up for Lana these days.
While she’s experiencing plenty of happiness and success on a professional level, sources claim that things aren’t quite as rosy behind the scenes. According to Look magazine, Lana Del Rey is hoping friends will provide her with a little tender loving care to help her through this supposed “rough patch” in her life.
An anonymous source explained :
“She needs all the support she can get at the moment. It’s a dark time for her, and her on/off relationship with Barrie-James is not helping. So much has happened in the past and with the help of her family, she will get through this. It’s been one thing after another for Lana. First the turbulent relationship, then the split and now she’s being trolled on Twitter. It seems she can do nothing right and she’s finding it harder than ever.”
In addition to that infamous interview with The Guardian where she declared that death really sounded like a good idea at this stage of her life, Lana Del Rey recently ended her relationship with Barrie-James O’Neill. The surprise came during a recent overseas interview, a chat that revealed the romance had officially burned out.
Lana said:
“We are currently not together. He is a wonderful person. But there are some things with which he has to deal. I will not explain it in detail. This was hard on our relationship, I no longer felt free. We’ll see how it goes.”
The Inquisitr previously reported that Lana has since fallen into the well-sculpted arms of music video director Francesco Carrozzini . The two were recently spotted spending some quality time together in Italy, an excursion that was captured by opportunistic photographers and shared with the world at-large.
