Like many celebrities, Kate Upton is getting tired of the tabloid rumors and the demanding photographers who try to make her red carpet walk more work than necessary.
In a related report by The Inquisitr , Kate Upton is now representing Express for their new fashion line. But in a recent interview she also revealed that when she first started her career as a teenager she felt overweight, not sexy hot:
“In the beginning of my career, slimmer, less curvy models were more popular and I got down on myself. I didn’t feel as confident or as beautiful, but it made me realize that it’s not about what people say to you or what people think, it’s about competing with yourself and being the best that you can be. But also, I don’t take myself too seriously.”
But one thing she is taking a little more seriously is how out of control rumors are messing with her family life. For example:
“Reading things about myself that aren’t true drives me crazy! I’ve managed to block it out, but my family really hasn’t – so they’ll read about me and then call me up saying, ‘Are you alright? I saw this happened’ and my mum will call and say, ‘Well, I saw you went to Vegas, when you could have come to the family reunion…’ and I’m like, ‘Mum, I swear, I’m in Europe!’ It’s insane!”
The other thing can drives Upton up the wall is how photographers can be so annoying when she is trying to enjoy herself during those red carpet moments for the movies she has bee in lately:
“I enjoy the red carpet for the first 10 minutes and then I’m like, ‘Alright….let’s go’. Sometimes the photographers get really bossy, like ‘blow a kiss!’, ‘smile!’ and I think, ‘You don’t know Mr, you’re not a model! This outfit is meant to be fierce, it doesn’t go with smiling!’ “When I first did red carpets, I used to listen and do what they said – but now I don’t.”
It’s very likely that Kate Upton will have to learn to deal with those guys since her career as an actress is slowly making her a rising star. She was cast next to Cameron Diaz in The Other Woman and there’s even a rumor that Upton could be a Bond girl in the James Bond 24 movie .
