Jeremy Meeks: Hot Mugshot Guy Gets Modeling Contract

Jeremy Meeks has gone from accused felon to signed model.

The suspected California gang member made waves late last month when a steamy mugshot was released. Meeks gained a number of admirers, and even secured a Hollywood agent with a knack for taking on controversial clients.

Gina Rodriguez signed the 30-year-old Jeremy Meeks to a modeling contract. Rodriguez also represents other notorious celebrities including Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, “Octomom” Nadya Suleman, and Donald Sterling’s alleged mistress, V. Stiviano.

“Jeremy has an amazing look and has received international attention which I feel can only help him flourish in the entertainment industry,” Rodriguez told ABC News. Rodriguez added that Meeks could have a lucrative career in modeling.”Jeremy could make somewhere between $3,000 to $100,000 per month through endorsements and modeling. We are also speaking with several production companies about following Jeremy’s foray into the entertainment industry,” she said. But Jeremy Meeks may need more than just one viral mugshot — he also needs a good lawyer. He stands accused of 11 different charges stemming from his alleged gang membership, including counts of possession of firearms.

Rodriguez said the attention from the mug shot could help set Jeremy Meeks on the straight and narrow.

“I believe this can be a positive change for Jeremy and his family,” she said.

For his part, Meeks says he’s innocent, telling USA Today that he’s not the man police claim him to be.

“I just want them to know that this is really not me,” he claimed.

Meeks may have a lucrative future in modeling, but he’s already got a big group of devoted fans. There have been a number of Facebook fan groups popping up, with many calling for his release from jail.

Jermy Meeks also has his mom in on it. She has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his release, claiming that he’s being unfairly stereotyped because of his “old tattoos.”
