Rick Ross Weight Loss: Rapper Drops 100 Pounds After Stomach Surgery

Rock Ross is a new man after undergoing stomach band surgery and reportedly dropping at least 100 pounds.

The rapper showed off the dramatic change at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash 19, where he performed along with Drake, TI, Meek Mill, and a number of others.

The site AllHipHop reported that with all the big name hip-hop stars in attendance, Rick Ross was the talk of the party.

The report noted:

I saw a bunch of tweets and other social activity but the main thing people have been talking about is Rick Ross’ weight loss. I don’t think people will be able to make over weight jokes for long. He looks like he may have lost like 100 pounds or something dramatic. Of course, that leads to people talking about how he lost the weight. This much, we don’t know. But he doesn’t look like he’s been to Wing Stop anytime recently.

The site MediaTakeOut also took notice, and managed to get a hold of some grainy pictures showing a much-smaller Rick Ross performing at the event.

A source told the gossip site that Ross underwent a procedure to lose the weight, one that has forced him into some big changes.

“[Ross] can’t really eat after he had [the procedure],” the source said. “If he eats more than about 4 or 5 wings he THROWS UP cause his stomach is too small. He can still drink, but he can’t really eat like he used to anymore.”

But Ross has been making a lot more changes as well. The rapper has talked often in interviews about his strict workout plan, which includes Reebok’s CrossFit program.

“It’s a different type of little workout,” he said on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show last September, adding, “I feel good.”

Ross said he’s been very committed to the life changes.

“It was just time for me to tighten up a little bit, you know what I’m saying. As far as, you know, me working out…I have no destination, no specific weight,” he told 93.9 WKYS FM earlier this year. “And also, you know, I’ve been doing this CrossFit thing, you know, shout-out to Reebok, we had started doing that, you know, last year, sometime and you know, it’s just catching up a little bit.”

Before the weight loss, Rick Ross reportedly weighed as much as 400 pounds.
