Melissa McCarthy One Of Many To Receive A Star On Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame
Melissa McCarthy is only one of many who will be receiving their very own stars on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. According to the New York Daily News, McCarthy will be joined by Seth MacFarlane, celebrity chef Bobby Flay, and even rapper Pitbull.
Rolling Stone stated that the Walk of Fame Selection Committee announced the list of honorees who will be added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2015. The list included about 30 individuals, all of whom work in the entertainment business. The list is reportedly broken down into a variety of categories including music, TV, film, radio, and live performance.
“‘The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is excited to announce the Class of 2015 Star Honorees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,’ said Maureen Schultz, Chair of the Walk of Fame selection committee for 2014-2015 according to CBS. ‘We know that the new selections represent the best of the entertainment industry, and will be a great addition to the Walk of Fame for both the Hollywood community and fans from around the world who visit Hollywood every year. We look forward to welcoming all our new honorees to one of the most popular tourist attractions in California.'”
Melissa McCarthy has been making quite a splash in the entertainment world. In a recent report by The Inquisitr, McCarthy admits that in a world of slim and glamorous looking people, she is a little different. According to the report, she embraces her weight, though she does admit that she could be a little healthier.
“I could eat healthier, I could drink less. I should be learning another language and working out more, but I’m just always saying, ‘Ah, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow.'”
Her weight aside, Melissa McCarthy has played a wide variety of characters during her acting career, and she’s done one heck of a job with each and every one of them! So is it really that big of a surprise that she would be one of the 30 receiving a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame?
