Jennifer Lopez Sounds Off On Famous Ex Ben Affleck’s Fashion Transformation

Anyone who was familiar with Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with Ben Affleck is aware that their relationship might have singlehandedly sold all of the gossip magazines back in the day. The “Bennifer” pairing not only boosted sales, but the couple were the first pairing to be nicknamed in the tabloids.

It’s been a decade since their engagement was called off. Ben Affleck went on to marry his Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner, and the pair has three children together. Lopez moved on with now ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom she shares two children with, and also had a long term relationship with dancer Casper Smart.

In order to promote her new album A.K.A, Jennifer Lopez attended Watch What Happens Live, and host Andy Cohen didn’t pull any punches. Lopez freely opened up about her relationship with Ben Affleck, a subject that probably would have been off limits while she was married to singer Marc Anthony.

During their very public and PDA-filled relationship Ben Affleck went through a very interesting transformation. The Boston boy who wore jeans and a t-shirt turned into a slick haired man who often looked like he just got out of a tanning bed. Although Affleck hasn’t commented on his style during that time period, Lopez admitted that she did have influence over Affleck’s style.

Cohen asked the A.K.A. singer, “Did you dress him when you were dating him?”

Jennifer responded honestly to the question:

“I did kind of like say, ‘You need to be, you know, you’re a movie star! You should wear a suit, you know? You should do this with your hair. For sure! I mean, I do that and, by the way, they do that… guys do that to girls too. Like, ‘I like that dress better than the other dress.'”

At the time Lopez said that her former fiance was “into it.”

She continued:

“He didn’t do anything he didn’t want to do. He had some good fashion moments when he was with me.”

The last time their two names were tied together is when Jennifer Lopez was asked whether or not she would let Ben and her other ex Diddy drown. With much laughter the American Idol judge said, “I’d let both those motherf***ers drown.”

Fortunately for the two past loves, Lopez was only joking and added, “Ben, Puffy, you know I love you.”

Lopez’s relationship with Ben Affleck started in 2002 on the set of their failed film Gigli and lasted until 2004.
