Comedian Tracy Morgan is off to rehab after being released from the hospital. The former 30 Rock star was seriously injured recently when a tractor-trailer driver allegedly rear-ended the limo carrying Morgan and several others. Now the actor will work on recovering from his injuries at a rehabilitation center.

NBC News shares that Tracy Morgan’s agent indicated in a statement that the star will be in the rehab facility for “the next few weeks.” According to TMZ, the star is dealing with multiple broken bones, including his femur. His agent says that “he is continuing to show signs of improvement,” but he “still has a long way to go.”

Initially there was a lot of buzz about the accident and Roper’s involvement, and he even vented on Twitter in several posts. Now reports indicate that Roper was speeding, going 20 miles an hour over the posted limit where the accident occurred. Federal officials also say that he had been driving for about 10 hours at the time of the fatal accident. The details regarding Roper’s speed are said to come from the truck’s data. Kevin Roper has pleaded not guilty.

As for Tracy Morgan’s condition, the first few days after the crash seemed to be touch-and-go. Few specifics were being shared about his injuries, other than that he was in critical condition. Earlier this week, Morgan’s rep said that he had been upgraded to fair condition, per E! Online. It was also said that his personality was coming back out as well, news that surely brought smiles and relief to his many fans.

Morgan and his group were heading home after a stop on the comedian’s comedy tour when Dover’s tractor-trailer hit them on the New Jersey Turnpike. McNair, known as Jimmy Mack, died as a result of the accident. Fellow comedians Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton, along with Tracy’s assistant Jeff Millea, received injuries. In addition to the severely broken leg, Morgan also reportedly has broken ribs and a broken nose.

According to details from the National Transportation Safety Administration preliminary report, Roper had been awake for more than 24 hours when the accident occurred.
