iPhone prices being slashed at Radio Shack and Target, reports suggest

If you’re planning on picking up an iPhone anytime soon, you may want to hold off on that; reports are starting to hit the web that two retailers are gearing up to slash prices on various iPhone models as early as tomorrow.

According to info picked up by Engadget, Radio Shack will be slicing the price of the AT&T 16GB iPhone 4 to $169.99 from $199.99. The 32GB iPhone 4 is also being cut down, with the new price reportedly sitting at $269.99.

Radio Shack apparently isn’t the only one allegedly dropping prices, however. Phone Arena reports that Target will be slicing prices as well, but the amounts and providers differ a bit.

For Target, the AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 16GB is apparently being dropped to $149.99, and the Verizon iPhone 4 32GB will be brought down to $249.99. For some reason, the AT&T iPhone 4 32GB isn’t receiving a cut at Target.

Neither apple nor the retailers in question have made any formal announcements at first, but considering Phone Arena suggests the price cuts are supposed to kick off tomorrow, at least we won’t have to wait long to find out if it’s true or not.
