Imagine Dragons Playing Free Concert


As part of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week event, rock band Imagine Dragons will be playing a free concert at TFC Bank Stadium in the Twin Cities.

According to Star Tribune, the Imagine Dragons concert will take place on July 12 in conjunction with the All-Star Game being played on July 15 at Target Field. The hip-hop band Atmosphere from Minneapolis will open for Imagine Dragons. The concert is completely free and will feature a fireworks show directly after Imagine Dragons performs.

Twins President Dave St. Peter released the following statement about the Imagine Dragons All-Star concert:

“The Twins organization tips our cap to Major League Baseball and long-time partners Target and Budweiser for teaming to make this All-Star Concert possible. We are excited to have this unique opportunity to deliver a world-class show of this nature – for absolutely free – to our great fans across Twins Territory.”

Imagine Dragons is an American alternative rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The group won a Grammy Award this year for their hit song “Radioactive” off their debut album “Night Visions.” Imagine Dragons’ first album sold over 2 million copies. Since then, Imagine Dragons has been working on a follow-up LP and writing music for the new Transformers film.

According to CBS Minnesota, you can secure free on-field standing room tickets at AllStarGame.Com/Concert. Tickets will be available starting June 19 at 10am. Gates to the Imagine Dragons performance will open at 5:30pm. Atmosphere will begin playing at 7:30pm and Imagine Dragons will come on shortly after them.

According to Kare11.com, there is a limit of four tickets per individual request. Certain items are not permitted into the stadium, such as alcohol, umbrellas, backpacks and glass or metal containers. A full list of prohibited items can be found at AllStarGame.Com/Concert.

In anticipation of the Imagine Dragons concert, Tim Brosnan, Executive Vice President of Major League Baseball Properties, had this to say about the event:

“Major League Baseball is committed to bringing the great fans of Minnesota an unforgettable week of events and activities leading up to the 2014 All-Star Game and we are thrilled to host Grammy Award winning artists Imagine Dragons for what will be an All-Star caliber concert.”
