Alexander Skarsgard Contributes to the “It Gets Better” Project

Alexander Skarsgard, who plays the sexy alpha-vamp Eric Northman on HBO’s hit series True Blood, has contributed a clip to the “It Gets Better” project– the video series started by Dan Savage as a response to gay teen suicides.

Skarsgard, who is not gay, pledged to be a father whose kids are accepting and tolerant- adding that he doesn’t have any kids yet (with a “that I know about” eyebrow waggle.) The clip is below, and it seems he’s trying to “put the whammy” on us, as Sookie would say. (“You will be nice to gay people! It is the right thing to do!)

Skarsgard joins a very diverse group of contributors- according to the “It Gets Better” project homepage, participants so far have included:

President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Adam Lambert, Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Matthew Morrison of “Glee”, Joe Jonas, Joel Madden, Ke$ha, Sarah Silverman, Tim Gunn, Ellen DeGeneres, Suze Orman, the staffs of The Gap, Google, Facebook, Pixar, the Broadway community, and many more.
