Kelly Clarkson, the Grammy award-winning “original American idol,” has given birth to a baby girl. Clarkson herself announced the news to the world by tweeting about it from her official Twitter account. Clarkson, who was in the news recently about rumors pertaining to her leaving her husband Brandon Blackstock, after her pregnancy tweeted:
Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! ?

It was in October of last year that Kelly married Brandon in a low-key ceremony in Tennessee. Shortly after the wedding, Clarkson said she couldn’t wait to get pregnant. In November, she announced, again via Twitter, that she is indeed pregnant. She also happens to be a step mom to Brandon’s two children from his first marriage.

Back then, Clarkson also stated that she would like to have a natural childbirth. “I’m 31 and we’d like to do it the natural way. My eggs aren’t getting any younger!” she added. “So we’re really excited.”
She had also announced her desire to me mom to a baby girl. On January 20, Kelly tweeted, “We just found out we’re having a girl officially! I knew it!”
She added, “Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!”
Kelly Clarkson was careful to remain out of public glare for most of her pregnancy. She however did reveal her baby bump on April 21 when she was seen in Tennessee for an Easter outing with Blackstock.
All said, Kelly certainly did not have an easy pregnancy even if we discount the cheating allegations that were leveled against Blackstock. A previous Inquisitr report said that Clarkson was having a miserable experience with weight gain and sickness almost all through her pregnancy. Clarkson has also been quite secretive about her personal life lately, fanning rumors of an imminent split.
