Marilyn Manson Cast In ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ As A While Supremacist

If you’ve missed shock rocker Marilyn Manson and the media blitz his career turned into during the 90s, then you may be excited about this news. It was just announced by The Hollywood Reporter that Marilyn Manson was cast in a reccurring role in the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy.

Here’s the second tidbit — Marilyn is going to play a white supremacist on the hit show. The role is a perfect fit for Manson, whose appearance and lyrics has made him a foe to many people. Throughout his career he’s played up his controversial persona so odds are he’ll fit in and be right at home by taking on a larger than life role in the series.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, will be recurring as the prison-yard big shot. The character’s name is Ron Tully, and according to the description, Manson will use his reputation as a “prison big shot” to assist Jax (Charlie Hunnam) in order to expand his power base.

The rocker released a statement about his latest role, and sounded very excited about being a part of the series.

“Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

This isn’t the first time Marilyn Manson has dipped his feet into the acting world. Although one can argue that his whole persona on stage is an extended art performance, Manson has made his way on the screen a few times before.

Last year he was featured on Once Upon a Time, voicing the character of Shadow, who was a mischievous character from the stories of Peter Pan. In addition Manson also made guest appearances on Eastbound and Down, and Californication. Let’s not forget that the rocker also appeared on the big screen in Lost Highway, Party Monster, and Jawbreaker.

As for new material, Manson hasn’t put out an album since Born Villain, which was released in 2012.

His role on Sons of Anarchy is assumed to be for the upcoming seventh season, which will air in September.

In addition to being a fan of Sons of Anarchy, Manson also revealed back in 2013 that he’s a huge fan of The Walking Dead as well.
