Taylor Swift can do everything! First, she proved her musical dominance when she topped Billboard's biggest music earners list last year, beating Beyonce and Justin Timberlake. This year, she appears on The Giver, an upcoming film directed by Phillip Noyce. Swift appears with topnotch Hollywood elites Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep!
Inquisitr is fortunate enough to get a quick peek of Taylor in her camera glory. A promotional poster for The Giver shown by the Daily Mail reveals Taylor Swift's general appearance on the film, - without make-up and with curly, black hair.
But she'd definitely still be able to turn some heads with her movie look. Taylor, whose been dubbed by fans as one of the most beautiful singers in today's industry, still exudes her countryside beauty, despite being in her dreariest form for the film.
Swift's movie is about a utopian, futuristic society where racism, sickness and conflict do not exist. A teenager, played by Brenton Thwaites, is assigned by the community to become the Receiver of Memory, which gives him the ability to look into their forefathers' histories. Taylor Swift plays the character of Rosemary. The movie is based on the 1993 young adult novel written by Lois Lory. On the trailer's YouTube channel, the movie is described as follows:
"The haunting story of THE GIVER centers on Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. The film is based on Lois Lowry's beloved young adult novel of the same name, which was the winner the 1994 Newbery Medal and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide."In an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood last year, Taylor expressed her excitement over the movie. When asked about her working relations with veteran Hollywood actors Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep, Taylor Swift had this to say:
"I couldn't believe it was happening to me,""I still can't believe I shot in South Africa and shot all my scenes with Jeff Bridges. It was unreal.Taylor further described her joy over being a member of the film's cast. The singer seems to be overwhelmed to be surrounded by a fantastic cast and crew.
"Seriously, I couldn't believe I got to be a part of the experience. And I just tried to work as hard as I could and just throw myself into that environment as much as I possibly could and it was really long hours and it was a lot of preparation and getting into character and all that"This isn't Taylor Swift's first movie appearance. Previously, she has appeared on the rom-com Valentine's Day, which was unfortunately panned by critics.
Taylor Swift's The Giver opens on theaters August 15.
