Wiz Khalifa recently dropped the cover art for his upcoming mixtape 28 Grams, proving that the rapper’s train is definitely getting ready to leave the station.
The aforementioned mixtape is just the tip of Wiz Khalifa’s ever-growing iceberg. Not only is the guy preparing to release 28 Grams, he’s also putting the finishing touches on his next studio album. In short: You’re going to have a lot of Khalifa’s music thumping through your stereo in the very near future.
According to Rap-Up, Wiz Khalifa pulled back the curtain on the cover art just a few days after officially announcing the mixtape. The artwork features a cartoon version of both “Trap Wiz” and his bulldog Vincent. Curious parties are strongly encouraged to check out the image below.

To promote the upcoming release, Wiz Khalifa recently posted about the project on Twitter. If the rapper can get 2,800 retweets about the mixtape, then he’ll officially drop a song from the collection online. Fans who are still on the fence about the micro-blogging site might want to consider suiting up in the very near future.

Although rappers and hip-hop artists tend to use mixtapes as a stop-gap between albums, Wiz Khalifa thinks 28 Grams is much more than just a collection of tunes that didn’t find their way onto Blacc Hollywood. The Inquisitr previously reported that the release is just the beginning of a great year for the rapper.
“It’s more than a teaser, it’s gonna get the Khalifa train rolling,” Wiz explained. The rapper added that the upcoming tour will help prepare fans for his next proper studio record, though he stopped short of giving everyone a specific release date.
Unfortunately, it’s also unknown when Wiz Khalifa plans to drop his upcoming mixtape. He recently told MTV News that it’s “going to drop fast,” nobody seems to know when it’s going to happen. Check back with the good folks over at HotNewHipHop on a regular basis to see if it’s arrived. Alternatively, you can always keep your eyes glued to the rapper’s official Twitter feed for info. Chances are he’ll let everyone know as soon as 28 Grams is available to stream or download.
