Mila Kunis Finally Speaks On Pregnancy, Dishes To Ellen DeGeneres
Mila Kunis is pregnant, but the star and her newish beau Ashton Kutcher haven’t been all that chatty about the impending arrival of their first baby.
When Mila Kunis and Ashton took up with one another, the pair were very quiet about their new relationship. And when Kunis became pregnant, no formal announcement was made — despite a ramped-up rumor mill and plenty of pics emerging of the star and her boyfriend out and about.
It appeared Mila’s pregnancy wasn’t a secret, but similarly, no one spoke on the record about the baby news. However, that changed with Kunis’ recent appearance on Ellen, where she dished about her pregnancy, cravings, how she and Ashton plan to welcome their baby, and tons of other things of that nature.
On what snacks pregnant Mila craves, the Family Guy star admits that it’s not exactly pickles or ice cream. She says:
“I eat sauerkraut all day long… This is the worst craving to have because sauerkraut smells and so every time you open up a jar, it just reeks in the whole kitchen… It’s not like ice cream where everything smells lovely.”
Kunis says that Kutcher is so far a doting dad-to-be, explaining that he stocked up just in case she had the stereotypical pregnancy munchies.
Mila went on:
“I’ll tell you a funny story… [Ashton] kind of preempted this. He assumed that I was gonna have goofy cravings, so he stocked our secondary fridge with weird food—just, like, pickles and sauerkraut, or, like anchovies and ice creams — just in case at one point during this pregnancy I’d be like, ‘I really want something.'”
Kunis says that the “goofy” gesture came in handy, adding:
“And it happened last week! I was like, ‘Oh my god, I need a pickle. Like, it was just the weirdest thing. I needed this pickle. And he was like, ‘Hold on a second,’ and disappeared in the backyard and came back with the most amazing dill pickle of all time.”
While quiet until today’s Ellen, Mila even opened up about her plans for labor and delivery, quite candidly.
The star says she and Ashton have been looking into the different ways parents opt to handle it, and have chosen a more “natural” route:
“We watched a couple of documentaries and we looked into the midwife aspect of it and things, and spoke to my OB/GYN and realized that the hospital that I’m going to be laboring in does a midwife, you know, doula type of thing… So I’m gonna do it as all-natural as I possibly can unless there’s an emergency or something.”
