The Skinny On Miranda Lambert: How To Get Her New Look


Miranda Lambert has been hot on the charts for many years. Currently, Miranda is up for six CMT Awards which is the highest of any nominee. Her nominations include two for her independent work, two for her collaboration with Keith Urban, and two as a member of Pistol Annies according to Billboard.com.

We can all watch the live telecast of the CMT Awards on June 4 and witness all of Miranda’s wins. The show comes right on the heels of the release of Miranda Lambert’s new album Platinum on June 3rd. Turning thirty was a huge milestone for Miranda. Not only for her career, but her personal life, as well.

Miranda describes her new album in relation to her 30th birthday, “I always try to make my records be about where I am right now,” Miranda says. “I’m 30 years old. I’m happily married, but I still have problems good and bad. I face everyday life as a 30-year-old girl. So, I wrote a lot about that,” she tells ABC News Radio. The older and wiser Miranda Lambert has created an album that has a little something that men and women from all ages can relate to.

Another element of Miranda that we can all relate to is our weight. Most people struggle with weight gain, and Miranda is the first to admit that has been an issue for her. Lambert confesses to HollywoodLife.com, “”I spent my 20s on a roller coaster — my yo-yo weight, working all the time and partying. I just wanted to get healthier and go into my 30s in the best shape I could be in.”

So, how did Miranda Lambert lose one full dress size totally twenty-five pounds? Miranda says she gave up beer and Cheetos, but there is more to it than that. Lambert says she has a trainer that goes on tour with her, but that they keep it basic. Miranda told People Magazine, “We do cardio, a lot of circuit training. We do things with my body weight, like lunges,” Lambert said. “A lot of stuff with [resistance] bands. The stuff nobody loves, but it works!” Miranda admits.

Miranda has also cut way back on portions. “I haven’t given up everything!” she confessed to People Magazine. “I try to just cut everything in half.” Lambert says she makes choices such as switching steak for chicken and a baked sweet potato, and Miranda drinks store-bought pressed juice for breakfast. It took Miranda four months to lose the weight she wanted to lose. It didn’t happen overnight.

Miranda says hubby Blake Shelton brags on her, but he has said before she ever lost the first pound, “I have never had a problem with any way you look. You are beautiful to me at any size and every size.” Just what every woman wants to hear from her man.

Miranda Lambert is the female country artist to watch, and with her looks, its not a hard thing to do.
