Adam Levine Goes Platinum Blonde In Selfie With Fiance Behati

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine has gone platinum and this time it’s not in the music industry, it’s in his hair. In a selfie Levine took with fiancee Behati Prinsloo, his hair is very clearly dyed platinum blonde.

While no one is really sure why Adam went blonde, some speculate that it could possibly be for an upcoming film role. Although Levine has made his name as lead singer for the band, he recently began dipping into acting by taking on a role on American Horror Story. He’ll be seen in person on The Voice’s live shows tomorrow, where no doubt Levine’s fellow judges or host Carson Daly will quiz him on the new look.

Levine posted the picture on his Twitter account yesterday.

Apocalypse prep? Just what does that mean?

After reading some shocked (and negative) reactions, Adam Levine tweeted again in response.

So does this mean Levine’s going to play a villain in an upcoming movie?

Added to the list of Adam’s achievements is his being named People’s Sexiest Man Alive last November. “As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” Levine told People. “I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”

That title seems to be holding true. While there have been lots of negative reactions to his new ‘do, there are just as many people stating Levine could have dyed his hair pink and it still would have looked good. Either way, it sounds like Levine doesn’t care.

Last month, rumors began circulating that Adam was thinking about vacating his chair on The Voice, and he said himself when questioned by Hollywood Life that he’d have to see what his schedule is like. Levine has been a coach on the NBC reality singing competition since it was first aired in 2011, having seen two of his contestants go on to winning the show.

So what could possibly be the reason for his new hairstyle other than a super secret film role? No announcements have been made for his casting in anything. Perhaps a small role in a film with a apocalyptic-type setting?

What do you think about the singer’s new color and does it matter at all to you what his hair looks like or his voice and smoldering gaze all that matter?
