Katy Perry Wants Selena Gomez To Start Making Music Again [Rumor]
Katy Perry is reportedly helping Selena Gomez get back on her musical feet.
The former Wizards of Waverly Place star recently decided to part ways with her old management team, otherwise known as her parents. To get her career back on the right track, Gomez hired Katy Perry’s manager Bradford Cobb. Considering the guy also pilots Adam Lambert career, many folks see this as a step in the right direction.
Now anonymous sources are telling the folks over at Hollywood Life that Katy Perry is taking an interest in Selena’s life. Since she’s going through so much stuff with Justin Bieber, Perry feels the singer needs to use those experiences to help power her next batch of tunes.
“Katy is honest with Selena and she told her she needs to stick with it this time and really let Justin go. But she also told her that she’ll support her no matter what. Katy is very zen about it all. She’s also invited Selena to come and hang out with her on tour — she’s pushing her to get back into making music,” the insider allegedly dished.
This nameless individual added, “Katy has been helping Selena, she’s doing everything she can to help her right now as far as being a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to that will understand. She’s like a big sister to her, a nonjudgemental big sister.”
Justin Bieber rumors aside, Katy Perry is definitely the right person to help Gomez get back in the game. The “Dark Horse” singer has cranked out one hit after another over the past several months, which may explain why Gomez decided to begin a professional relationship with Bradford Cobb. The guy is obviously doing something right.
Of course, Selena Gomez isn’t the only person Katy Perry is helping out these days. She also penned the tune “Black Widow” for Iggy Azalea. The rapper also said she’s drawing a lot of inspiration from Katy’s elaborate and over-the-top stages shows.
“Opening for Beyoncé made me realize what can happen on stage if I get the same number of fans. I’d love to be able to have sets that are two stories high, with me flying across the stage on wires and doing magic tricks like Katy Perry does,” Azalea recently told the Daily Star.
As always, take these Katy Perry and Selena Gomez rumors with a grain of salt. However, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched that Perry would want to help the singer find her footing after all she’s been through this year.
