Kentucky Oaks 2014: Watch Live Here, Odds-On Picks

The Kentucky Oaks 2014 race kicks off this afternoon with coverage starting at 4 PM, 3 PM EST — and you can watch live here, or by streaming over at NBCSports.com, or on the site’s app.

The Kentucky Oaks 2014 post time is approximately 5:45 PM, EST, but pre-show coverage includes last minute speculation on who’s got the best odds for the mile and a half long race at Churchill Downs.

In the lead up to this year’s Kentucky Oaks livestream and coverage, it seems Untapable is the favorite to win of the filly line-up.

Currently at 4-5 odds, Untapable’s jockey Rosie Napravnik described her excitement for today’s event:

“[2012’s Kentucky Oaks] was so special… It was my all-time favorite moment of my career. I kind of feel like it’s my race. I’m really excited to ride a filly I have so much confidence in.”

Up second in Kentucky Oaks 2014 odds is Fashion Plate, but one odds prediction site explains:

“Untapable looks extremely tough to beat, and we can’t leave this filly out of the mix altogether. But we’ll try to cash a nice ticket by throwing three others in our exactas and triples — No. 4 Rosalind, No. 9 Unbridled Forever, and No. 11 My Miss Sophia.”

Over on Twitter, both linemakers and the official Kentucky Derby account are tweeting out info for today’s Kentucky Oaks, with the latter explaining track conditions going into the big night:

Some celebs were spotted on the grounds:

Meteorologist Sam Champion was on hand to predict the atmospheric conditions — but he got a bit distracted:

And other horse chatter took over Twitter as Kentucky Oaks prep heated up:

2014’s Kentucky Oaks streams live here, but won’t kick off until late afternoon — will you be watching online, and have you made any big picks for a winner this year? Is your money on Untapable for the 2014 Kentucky Oaks title, or do you think another filly will beat the odds?
