Tori Spelling’s Husband Dean Admits ‘Sex, Drugs And Alcohol’ Was An Escape

It hasn’t been a honeymoon of a time for couple Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott. While the two were seemingly happy in wedded bliss for a number of years, reports surfaced that McDermott had cheated on Tori. Now Dean has admitted that not only did he cheat on Spelling, his wife of six years, but he also admits that drugs and alcohol was also an issue.

In a teaser clip for the couple’s new reality show, Dean McDermott finally comes clean about all of the allegations surrounding his relationship with Spelling. In the clip McDermott, who is obviously emotional says, “That’s my worst nightmare; I cheated on my wife.”

Spelling responds to his emotional omission, “I’m really mad.” McDermott continues as he starts to detail some of the issues he faces within the marriage with Tori. “I was out of control. Sex was an escape, just like drugs and alcohol.”

Going by the clip it seems like Spelling’s husband also has a sex addiction, as Tori speaks out about his habits and how much he needs sex. “I can never give him enough sex. He’s never going to be happy with just me,” she says through tears.

Towards the end of the clip McDermott asks Spelling, “You don’t think you deserve me?” Then it flashes forward to Spelling tearfully admitting that their marriage might come to an end. “I’m well aware this might not have a happy ending.”

The series debuts on Lifetime on April 22. The six-episode series is said to document the couple during their rocky road. The series, called True Tori will go into the ins and outs of Spelling’s marriage and how the couple manages to navigate their way back to each other after a huge marital crises that’s still being played out in the press.

As previously reported according to Dean’s mistress Emily Goodhand, she foolishly believed that he and Tori had a sexless marriage. After she slept with McDermott she opened up to US Weekly when she found out that he was being dishonest with her.

“He said, ‘I love my wife. I love her so much, but she won’t sleep with me.’ I didn’t ask why because it was awkward. I was drinking so what he said is blurry. But he was talking about his kids and his work. And when people open up, you feel closer to them in some way. I felt like I could trust him.”

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott got hitched in 2006 after McDermott left his wife Mary Jo Eustace and their son Jack. The couple share four children with each other.
