Harry Styles Get Pranked, Agrees To Pay $5,000 To Singer Matt Healy
Harry Styles apparently doesn’t know a prank when it calls hims on the phone.
The One Direction fell victim to a scheme perpetrated by BBC Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw and The 1975 singer Matt Healy. The duo reportedly attempted to prank Niall Horan before turning their attention to Styles. When Harry answered his phone, they put their plan into action.
According to E! Online, Healy asked Styles to help him out with a particularly prickly situation. Since Matt was in keep trouble with a couple of troublemakers, he asked Harry for $5,000 to get the goons off his back.
“Yeah good thanks. Sorry I’ve never called you before now. This is going to sound ridiculous. I’ve been trying to get in touch with Niall and I was wondering… I need £5,000 and I’m in Chalk Farm and it’s a bit of an emergency. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it is a bit of a serious situation,” Matt explained during the phone call.
He added, “I’ve got two blokes in here in a phone box with me. One of them just keeps pointing at a picture of Mark Owen, it’s really weird. I don’t know what that means. Do you think you could ask Niall to come down and sort me the cash?”
Instead of hanging up on the guy or tell him to find another mark, Harry Styles seemed more than eager to help Healy out of his unfortunate situation. The singer told Matt that he would contact his assistant to make sure everything was properly sorted out. If his friends are ever in a tight spot, then the One Direction singer is definitely in their corner.
Once the prank started making the rounds, Horan addressed the situation on Twitter. Judging from his comments, it would appear that everyone has a pretty good sense of humor about the prank.

In other Harry Styles-related news, The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer could begin spending more time in Los Angeles in the near future. Since he’s interested in getting the proverbial ball rolling on a post-One Direction career, Styles will likely start crashing at his L.A. pad more often.
“Harry’s making connections — he’s not taken seriously in the US yet and he wants desperately to change that. He has the big picture in mind and his bandmates know it. It’s a matter of time before he goes solo,” an anonymous source said.
