Anne Hathaway: Parrot Attack Photos Not Exactly A ‘Rio’ Moment

Anne Hathaway was attacked by a blue parrot, almost invoking ironic memories of how she played a feisty blue macaw named Jewel in the Rio movie series.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, after the Oscars Anne apparently felt people need a break… from her:

“My impression is that people needed a break from me. I think there’s a common misconception about actors — that we have a lot more control than we do about when things happen.

Hathaway probably would have preferred the type of “welcome” given to her by singer Bruno Mars versus what she actually got during her Walk of Fame inauguration ceremony in Miami. While she maintained her pasted-on smile the entire time, a blue parrot clambered up her shoulder and onto her head and proceeded to peck away at her scalp.

The blue parrot seemed to enjoying itself as it seemingly posed for photos being taken while having a mouthful (beek-ful?) of Anne Hathaway’s hair in its grip. But after a while you could tell Anne was really starting to feel the pain as the parrot continued to entrench its position with winged fury. Although photos show her maintaining the same open-mouthed smile, Anne is noticeably tilting her head and her neck muscles began to bulge.

It also seems other animals wanted a piece of the action. A white anteater was the next to get a little too close for comfort, and when the creature attempted to nuzzle her Hathaway shrieked with excitement.

Anne Hathaway was joined by her Rio co-stars Jamie Foxx, Jemaine Clement and Kristin Chenoworth at the event.
