Lil Wayne Thinks Kanye West Is Definitely A Little ‘Crazy’ [Video]

Lil Wayne isn’t the sort of guy who picks fights with just anyone. The rapper definitely knows crazy when he sees it.

While a lot of people enjoy battle rapping, Weezy isn’t one of them. Instead of sitting around writing lyrics about his adversaries, Lil Wayne wants to pen music that stands the test of time. However, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t spent a fair amount of time thinking about the people he doesn’t want to cross.

During his CRWN interview, Lil Wayne discussed the inherent craziness of fellow rapper Kanye West. Since he believes the guy isn’t exactly stable, Wayne doesn’t plan on messing around with him anytime soon.

“He did a whole show with a mask on. When he came out with the mask, I was like, ‘This n**** crazy,’ so then two songs go by, ‘this n**** crazy, he still got that mask on,'” Lil Wayne explained during the recent chat.

He continued, “Then three, four, five songs go by, go into intermission and s***, that changed the mask, like, ‘that ain’t no Kayne out there, that n**** taller and everything.’ That’s crazy as hell — y’all know I couldn’t do no s*** like that.”

Weezy also took a moment during the CRWN interview to discuss why he no longer thinks of himself as the best rapper alive. Since Lil Wayne is getting older and wiser, he isn’t afraid to admit there are other people out there whose skills are a little sharper.

“Because I have awesome artists, simple and plain. At that time I didn’t have that, I [didn’t] care who on the mic. But now I have artists [and I say], ‘I want you to be better than me.’ Yes… I want everybody to feel like they’re the best at what they do. It ain’t about that now – it’s about us,” he told journalist Elliot Wilson.

Lil Wayne might have stumbled across a batch of modesty since his younger days, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s turned soft. The Inquisitr previously reported that the rapper believes Tha Carter V is “coming together dope.” In other words, it’s going to knock your socks off. However, fans should definitely anticipate something a little different from his previous efforts.

“I say it’s different, because I’m older and wiser, and I know more things and I know more about myself now. I’m more careful about what I’m doing and trying to be more careful what I’m saying,” he told MTV News.
