Double Trouble: Elizabeth Olsen Gets Engaged After Sister Mary-Kate

Looks like there might be a double wedding in the cards for Elizabeth Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen. Elizabeth Olsen became engaged recently to former co-star Boyd Holbrook, according to multiple reports. The two met on the set of Very Good Girls back in 2012 and have been dating since then.

Olsen, 25, and Holbrook, 32, became engaged after a trip to Paris. According to a source Boyd Holbrook did it by the book and asked Elizabeth’s father’s permission before he proposed to his girlfriend. A family friend who’s close to the couple told E! “He asked Lizzie’s father for her hand in marriage. It was so romantic, and they couldn’t have picked a better spot.”

Apparently this wasn’t completely out of the blue for the two actors. Elizabeth Olsen and Boyd Holbrook have been discussing getting engaged for some time. According to a source who spoke with US Weekly, “They’ve been by each other for a while, taking a lot of couple time.”

Confirming that they’ve been serious for a while, a second source told the magazine that the two “moved into a place in Brooklyn a few months ago.”Although representation for the stars didn’t respond to any magazines for comment, this looks like it’s the real deal.

Another wedding in the works is Mary-Kate Olsen’s to much older boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy. Mary-Kate, 27, is said to be engaged to Olivier,44, after she was spotted wearing a gorgeous engagement ring on “that” finger. Mary Kate and Olivier cozied up together at a launch party for Bob Colacello’s book Holy Terror: Andy Warhol Close Up when Olsen was spotted with her new ring.

Although Mary-Kate Olsen hasn’t confirmed or denied the engagement, their relationship seems pretty serious. According to E! the Full House star wants a quick engagement, while her boyfriend would much rather have a “nice long engagement.”

A source close to Sarkozy, who lives in Paris on occasion, told E!, “If they are engaged, they haven’t announced it to family and friends in France yet, but who knows. All we know is that Olivier will want a nice long engagement—he’s been through a marriage already and had lovely kids, so he knows what it’s all about.”

This is the first marriage for Mary-Kate Olsen, as well as the first for her newly engaged sister Elizabeth Olsen and her fiancé. Olivier was married and split from his wife of 13 years, Charlotte Bernard.
