Hangover 2 Tattoo Doesn’t Need To Be Removed

In the Hangover 2 a tattoo that closely resembles the one Mike Tyson wears on his face was placed on Ed Helms and the tattoo artist for the original version promptly sued the movies creators, claiming that Tyson gave them a lifetime copyright on the famous face tattoo, that case has now been settled.

Tattoo creator S. Victor Whitmill had originally requested that the release of the movie to theaters be delayed however a judge overruled his request and now Warner Brothers has settled with the artist for an undisclosed sum of cash.

Under the settlement the tattoo will also be able to remain when the movies DVD is released.

Hopefully this case doesn’t set a precedent or we may see butterfly tramp stamp tattoo lawsuits being filed all over the country.
