Nicki Minaj is known for her flawless complexion. If you want your skin to look just as clear and spectacular, then you’ll need to start guzzling aloe vera water.
The controversial rapper recently revealed her skincare secret during a conversation with Britain’s Look magazine. Instead of using abrasive chemicals or some sort of ancient celebrity secret to get the job done, Minaj revealed that aloe vera water keeps the breakouts away. However, don’t expect the stuff to taste like fine wine.
“I definitely wouldn’t say [my complexion is] flawless! If I fall asleep with my make-up on, I’ll definitely have a breakout. And I’ve been drinking aloe vera water — it doesn’t taste nice, but it works!” Nicki revealed.
Minaj also discussed how she protects her skin from the elements during those epically cold months in the city: “It’s so cold in New York at the moment that I’m wrapping up my skin with Eucerin Dry Skin Intensive Lotion 10% Cutaneous Emulsion Urea. It’s great for sensitive skin.”
Although you wouldn’t know it from her numerous videos and photo shoots, Nicki Minaj actually has small eyes . We’re not talking beady or weirdly tiny eyes, mind you — they’re just a lot smaller than her makeup would lead you to believe.
According to The Health Site , the rapper shared a few tips for those folks out there who want to walk the streets with bigger eyes. Her techniques won’t physically alter your face, but they’ll fool people into thinking you’re not a perpetual squinter.
“I always make sure I have perfected my eyeliner before I apply lashes. I have really small eyes so a liquid liner helps open them up and disguise the lashline,” Minaj explained.
Since Nicki’s makeup occasionally makes her look a little outlandish and a bit inhuman, some people believe that she achieves this appearance through the magic of plastic surgery. However, Minaj told Extra last year that didn’t go under the knife to achieve her look.
“I’ve never had surgery on my face. When people see my makeup, they think all types of crazy things that I’m doing to my skin, but it’s makeup,” she explained.
However, Nicki Minaj told Teen Vogue that she’s not always happy with the work artists do on her makeup. If you screw up the rapper’s iconic look, then there’s a very strong possibility she’s going to let you know all about it.
“Sometimes a makeup artist will do my makeup, and when they’re done I’ll think to myself, I know I can look a lot prettier than this. I’m just being honest, you know?” she admitted.
