Lil’ Boosie FINALLY Released From Prison, NOT A HOAX! Now, What’s Next?

This time, its definitely not a hoax! Lil’ Boosie has been released from prison. Although rumors have been swarming around the rapper’s release date for quite a while, this time the news has been properly confirmed.

According to The Times Picayune, the Louisiana Department of Corrections has confirmed that Boosie, whose real name is Torrance Hatch, has been released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary, commonly referred to as Angola.

Pam LaBorde, a spokesperson for the LDOC, stated that the “Better Believe It” rapper left the prison at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.

The publication reported that Laborde went on to explain that Boosie was transported to a West Feliciana Sheriff’s Department facility for a meeting with his lawyer and one other unnamed person.

The news of his release comes shortly after it was projected that Boosie would be out of prison by Monday, Mar. 10, which is also the date that has been designated for his official press conference in New Orleans, LA. The publication actually reported that an Atlantic Records representative verified that the Baton Rouge rapper would be present the conference shortly before it was announced that he’d been released.

“He will absolutely be there,” said a representative with Atlantic Records. “He’ll be speaking to the press for the first time… after his release.”

The official media invitation for the press conference features logos for both Trill Entertainment and Atlantic Records. However, the Atlantic representative would not confirm whether or not the rapper has agreed to sign with the label.

“(Lil Boosie) is actually going to be clearing all that stuff up for everybody there, so I’m going to let him relay that information,” the representative said.

In addition to rumors about Boosie’s release date, several media outlets have reported speculative claims of record deals in the works for the rapper. Back in 2013, it was rumored that Boosie would sign with Maybach Music Group after rapper Rick Ross evasively expressed interest in signing him.

There were also rumors of contract negotiations with Jeezy’s label Corporate Thugz, which is a subsidiary of Columbia Records. However, it looks as though fans will just have to wait until Mar. 10 to hear the official news straight from the source!
