‘Lego Movie’ Blooper Reel Features Morgan Freeman And Will Arnett

Can’t get enough of The Lego Movie? You may have a lot more to look forward to. Its stars including Morgan Freeman and Will Arnett have gone the extra mile to create a genuine blooper reel for fans of the hit film turned possible franchise.

Want to see Morgan Freeman screw up his lines in Lego form? Look no further than the official “bloopers” reel. As far as comedies go it’s become a staple. Usually bloopers are seen at the end of the movie or as an extra feature on the DVD/ Blu-Ray edition. Instead of waiting for the latter, Warner Bros., the guys behind The Lego Movie decided to animate scenes featuring now popular Lego characters.

For those who aren’t aware The Lego Movie is based on the original toys we all knew and loved to play with.

“The animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO mini-figure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.”

People are now praising that the bloopers are just as funny, if not funnier than The Lego Movie. In the film Morgan Freeman plays Vitruvius, Will Arnett is Batman, and Chris Pratt is the lead as construction worker named Emmett. These three actors are the most featured Legos in the excellent blooper reel.

For Warner Bros it’s a nice move to keep the momentum going for The Lego Movie, which is said to dominate the box office and quite possible top RoboCop during this Valentine’s Day weekend. As we reported, The Lego Movie is said to generate $45 million over the weekend. The Lego Movie took in $69 million dollars alone, and it was the second biggest February opening.

Producer Dan Lin recently spoke to Collider about the possibility of a sequel for The Lego Movie, having said:

“We’re getting some amazing reactions to the first movie, so it’s already setting a high bar for the sequel, so yes — on a technology, filmmaking basis, we’ve been augmenting LEGO digital builder, so we have the technology to make the movie faster. The question is how do we create an emotional, funny, epic story that’ll beat this first movie? That’ll take the most time.”

Looks like The Lego Movie is an unstoppable match for RoboCop.
