Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his 29th birthday on Wednesday, and among the many presents he got was one from Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic which resulted in a very funny exchange on Twitter.
Ronaldo is one of those guys who is well liked by fans and peers alike; he has many friends in opposing teams, and one of those buddies happens to be Sweden’s captain Ibrahimovic.
This was a cheeky way to continue the feud that ensued after Cristiano Ronaldo denied Sweden and Ibrahimovic a passage to the World Cup to be held this summer in Brazil.
At the time, Ibahimovic famously suggested that the biggest sporting event in the soccer world wouldn’t be worth watching after a disappointed Sweden was eliminated by Portugal in a semifinal.
Ever since then there has been a back-and-forth between the two strikers and on Wednesday, the Swede proved he has moved on with his tweet.
This is what the funny exchange between Cristiano Ronaldo and Ibahimovic looked like:

Thank you for the birthday present @Ibra_official. It will look better on me than you though.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has his own line of Nike clothing, which includes the T-shirt he sent to CR7, among other items which you can find here.
Cristiano Ronaldo was recently crowned the best of the best in his sport, after snatching the Ballon d’Or for the second time in his career last month.
There is no question the Portuguese captain is one of the most talented players in modern times, even Pele agrees with that statement.
But it was not all fun for the birthday boy on Wednesday, he came off a three game suspension to play in the Copa del Rey semifinal against Atletico Madrid.
As reported by The Inquisitr on Sunday, during Real Madrid’s game against Athelic Bilbao, Cristiano Ronaldo was ejected from the game after a red card.
In the incident that resulted in his suspension Ronaldo argued the use of an arm inside the penalty box and subsequently he shoved the Lions’ captain Carlos Gurpegi, which earned him first a yellow card, and after a scuffle, the ref took out the red.
On his way out, he slapped his cheek, in a gesture that said the ref was full of it, which earned him two additional games suspension.
On Wednesday, however, Cristiano Ronaldo returned — as the suspension was not effective for the Copa del Rey — to lead his team to a 3-0 victory over Atletico.
