Fifty Shades Of Grey, The Movie: Rumors Of Tension On The Set Between Director And Author

Fifty Shades of Grey — the movie — is scheduled to be launched on Valentine’s Day 2015, according to the latest promotional information from Universal Studios and Focus Features.

The first advance poster for Fifty Shades has now been revealed. Hopefully, the film itself will be more exciting.

The appealing image shows actor Jamie Dornan in his role as billionaire Christian Grey, staring out of his office’s floor to ceiling windows at the Seattle skyline, with the wording “Mr. Grey will see you now.”

Few movies in recent times have been awaited with such eager anticipation, although moviegoers have been warned not to expect too much.

The director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, has indicated that there will two versions of the film, one simply erotic, and the other really steamy.

How this idea will work when it comes to the distribution of Fifty Shades is still a mystery.

And there have been reports about tension on set between Taylor-Johnson and author E.L. James.

“E.L. James wants the movie to match the book exactly, but Sam has a different perspective. Sam is reminding E.L. she writes books and she (Sam) makes movies. This has caused some tension between the two of them,” according to a report in E! News.

News of the difficult relationship surfaced just days after producer Michael De Luca said that the chemistry between lead actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will make for a good watch.

The movie of Fifty Shades of Grey also features Eloise Mumford as Anastasia’s best friend, Kate Kavanagh; Victor Rasuk as Anastasia’s close friend José; Jennifer Ehle as Anastasia’s mother, Carla; Max Martini as Grey’s bodyguard; and Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, the adoptive mother of Christian Grey, Mia Grey (Rita Ora) and Elliot Grey (Luke Grimes).

Can Fifty Shades live up to the advance hype? We have a year to wait.
