Demi Lovato Tweets Bikini Pic, Says She’s Healthy And Rested [Photo]

Demi Lovato is feeling extremely healthy and very rested these days.

Before heading out on the road for her upcoming Neon Lights tour, Lovato decided to take some time off to get her head straight. This apparently includes lounging around on the beach in a bikini. If that’s what it takes for Demi to face the world, then so be it.

Demi Lovato will kick off her tour in Vancouver, Canada on February 9. In addition to the tour, the singer previously stated that she wanted to put together a new album at some point this year. However, she stopped short of revealing when that batch of songs will arrive.

Here’s the former X Factor judge lounging on the beach.

Lovato is also spending her brief stint away from the celebrity spotlight to get in touch with her spiritual side. She recently posted a passage from You Are a Spiritual Being Having a Human Experience by author Bob Frissell on the micro-blogging site.

Demi Lovato’s decision to take a month-long break didn’t settle well with several fans since it interfered with her appearance at the People’s Choice Awards. Some people were more than a little irritated that the singer didn’t show up accept her awards. This prompted Lovato to address the ensuing controversy on Twitter.

“Just hopped online to check Twitter and some ‘fans’ are being really mean… I’m not at the [People’s Choice Awards] because as I have stated before, I’m taking as much time off this month as possible… I haven’t taken a substantial amount of time off in a long time and now I am,” Demi wrote in response to the unexpected backlash.

She added, “Thank you for those who voted and understand why I am away… There are ‘fans’ who say they support me, then they hate on me, my personal life and my loved ones… And then there are my Lovatics! They are the best fans an artist could ever ask for.”

If you’re the sort of fan who loves to check out your favorite artist while they’re preparing to hit the stage, then you’ll have to snag a ticket to one of the Neon Lights Tour soundcheck parties. However, you’ll need to cough up an addition $90 to attend the party.
