Kate Winslet Snarls ‘Sorry I Got Pregnant’ At Scolds In Press
Kate Winslet has had it up to her bellybutton with scolds and schoolmarms in the press who judge her for how she conducts her private life. Now, she strikes back in a new interview to be published in the United Kingdom edition of Glamour Magazine, the U.S. publication People reports.
Winslet, who rocketed to stardom in the 1997 smash Titanic, which remains the second-highest grossing movie ever made, has been married three times. She has borne a child with each of her three husbands, behavior which the British press has deemed worthy of criticism. A headline over the summer in Britain’s Daily Mail read, “Three babies by three husbands. Why is Kate Winslet’s love life such a mess?”
The paper speculated that the 38-year-old Kate Winslet has a “complex personality” that leads her to be too choosy in picking her mates, instead “always searching for ‘Mr Absolutely Right.'”

She told Glamour she is “baffled” by the tendency of others to judge her personal life.
“No one has a right to comment on anyone’s life or the choices I do or don’t make. It’s very easy to be judgmental until you know someone’s truth. People have no idea at all,” reads one excerpt from the magazine’s Kate Winslet interview. “It baffles me, truly, that you can publicly treat a person like that. It’s not very nice.”
