Have Catherine Zeta-Jones And Michael Douglas Reconciled?

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas were spotted strolling the streets of New York City this weekend with their kids and also very significantly, wearing their wedding bands.

Does this mean they have reunited?

This has been a tough year for the power couple, who looked as though was on the verge of ending their marriage a few months ago.

In August, the shocking announcement came that they were taking some time off to reflect on their relationship and work out their differences.

The last time the pair was photographed together was in the Spring of 2013 as things were not looking too good for their relationship.

Just before Christmas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband were looking happy as they apparently did some shopping, perhaps for the holidays, along with their kids.

They seemed a lot more relaxed and reportedly left their Manhattan apartment to have some lunch at an Italian eatery and later attended a performance of the Broadway play Motown: The Musical.

Later that same night Catherine Zeta-Jones and her family went to see the number one movie in the country, The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug.

The website Omg! reports the fun family times didn’t end there and that same weekend they all went out to eat at an upper West Side restaurant close to their apartment.

As hard as things have been for Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas they have remained close because of the children and even went trick-or-treating together as a family, the actor said at an appearance in the Live With Kelly And Michael.

In November the couple celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary and were also together as they checked out a private school for one of the kids.

Several issues have plagued the couple in 2013. In April, Catherine Zeta-Jones revealed she suffers from bipolar II disorder for which she entered rehab.

In June, Michael Douglas candidly confessed that his throat cancer was actually tongue cancer, which doctors attributed to the HPV virus. He later had to clarify that he did not get the disease from his wife, nor does she suffer from it.

According to a source close to Catherine Zeta-Jones, things went downhill from there.

The couple also had to contend with Michael Douglas’ son Cameron’s drug addiction, which put extra stress on them. While Catherine Zeta-Jones said in July that his cancer was a “trigger” for her bipolar disorder.

Michael Douglas was optimistic that he and Catherine Zeta-Jones would work out their differences in October, when he told Jay Leno, “Everything should hopefully be on the up and up. Sometimes people take a little bit of a break, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the end. I’m very hopeful.”
