Demi Lovato Shoots Down Miley Cyrus ‘Homeless Rat’ Rumor
Did Demi Lovato recently say some pretty nasty things about Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande? To make a long story short — probably not.
Once again, it’s always best to treat anything you read on social media — or the internet for that matter — with a grain of salt until something official comes down the pipeline. If the story sounds pretty outrageous, then chances are the whole thing was a complete fabrication.
According to the folks at Cambio, Demi Lovato was recently the center of a nasty rumor that suggested she had some really unpleasant things to say about both Cyrus and Grande. Not surprisingly, the story was reportedly concocted by a fan looking to start some trouble online. Imagine that.
“So I met Demi in a Miami airport while on a plane going to Cancun. I didn’t know who she was at first because she had blue hair and my sister told me that that was Demi Lavender,” the individual wrote, incorrectly identifying the singer as “Lavender.”
Before long the conversation turned to “Wrecking Ball” singer Miley Cyrus. According to this unscrupulous fan, Demi reportedly had a few very unkind things to say about the former Disney darling.
“[Miley] lives off the attention so basically she was saying that Miley was the one that got her addicted and not to believe anything the homeless rat said,” the person explained.
As for Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato feels that “The Way” singer is just one of those run-of-the-mill Disney stars who “come and go.” As bad as that may sound, at least this reported slight didn’t involve the phrase “homeless rat.”
The boys and girls at J-14 explain that it didn’t take very long for the news of the diss to make its way back to Lovato. To set the record straight once and for all, the X Factor judge addressed the questionable rumor on Twitter. In short: It didn’t happen.

So there you have it, folks. Demi Lovato didn’t take a few cheap shots at Miley Cyrus or Ariana Grande while on her way to Cancun. That’s not to say someone didn’t talk to a girl with blue hair. However, it’s highly unlikely this individual was Lovato.
